This course will cover areas pertaining to the basic concept of instrumentation. First few chapters will cover the measurement theory, error in the measurement, system of units of measurement and standards of measurement. Specific instrumentation and sensor for pressure, temperature, analytical measurement, radiation measurement, fiber optics, smart sensors, and field data acquisition systems will be covered in the subsequent chapters. This course will go on to explain the basic working principles, measuring devices, operations, and specifications of various instruments.
