This compulsory course of Masters of Rural Studies for Part-I, semester -I, covers major four units and carried 100 marks.  This course focuses on the concept of natural resources, types of natural resources, Production Systems, the Role and importance of natural resources in rural development. It also more focuses on labour markets, rural infrastructures, different government schemes for rural development.

Course Outcomes:

After completion of this course students will be able to;

1) Develop innovative livelihood models in Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Sericulture, and Forestry.

2) Illustrate the rural labour market and its problems.

3) Demonstrate the rural marketing pros and cons.

4) Evaluate the importance of rural infrastructure in rural development.
