The course provides information on use of biotechnological tools like plant tissue culture (PTC) for conservation of plants. PTC is based on the genetic potential of the single plant to get transformed in complete plant i.e. totipotency. Apart from PTC technology the course covers the details of modern tools in genetic transformation and development of transgenic plant. Applications of PTC for betterment of human being are also included here. Details of techniques used in The Plant Tissue Culture technology is given. The course will also cover latest topics like Molecular markers, DNA Barcoding and Plant secondary metabolites of medicinal significance. All the lectures taken in the form of power point presentations are converted in the word format and are uploaded here for the students.
