• Course Objectives:
  1. Recognize the concepts and principles of operating systems.
  2. The main objective of this course is to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills of operating.
  3. Introduce you to managing a UNIX system and to study the basic structures and services of UNIX kernel.
  4. To study the internal working of buffer cache and internal representation of files in UNIX OS.
  5. To study the system calls and its internal working for the file system in UNIX OS.
  6. To study the structure of processes and process control in UNIX OS.
  7. To study the memory management policies and the I/O subsystem of UNIX OS.
  8. Use modern operating System calls such as UNIX process and synchronization libraries.
  9. Practice with operating System concepts such as UNIX process management, synchronization, Network process and file systems.
